Cala Fornells beach is a small, charming spot on the Mallorcan coast, situated in a residential area very close to Peguera. Surrounded by pine trees, hotels and homes, it stands out for its relaxed atmosphere, crystal-clear waters and panoramic views towards Santa Ponça, Peguera and the nearby Caló de Ses Llisses. It is a semi-urban cove that combines Mediterranean nature with tourist facilities, ideal for those seeking a quiet beach without sacrificing comfort. Surroundings and location Cala Fornells forms part of one of the most beautiful stretches of Mallorca’s south-west coast, alongside Caló de Ses Llisses and Caló d’en Monjo. This natural setting marks the transition between the municipalities of Calvià and Andratx, offering landscapes of sea, rocks and Mediterranean pine forests. Access and parking Access to Cala Fornells is straightforward and well signposted from the main road network. It can be easily reached by private car. There is free parking nearby, although it can be very busy during the high season. There is also a bus service, with a stop close to the beach. The beach is accessible to both visitors staying in the area and day-trippers. Anchoring The area is exposed to easterly, south-easterly and southerly winds, which affect sea conditions. Boats can anchor off the cove. However, the nearby Caló de Ses Llisses, which is more sheltered, is recommended. The seabed is a mix of sand and rock, with depths of between 4 and 6 metres. About 2.5 nautical miles away is the Club Nàutic Santa Ponça, a landmark for local navigation.
