Caló d’en Pellisser is a small, pretty cove situated between the main beach at Santa Ponça and the Santa Ponça Yacht Club, in the municipality of Calvià. Just over a kilometre from the resort centre, it offers a more secluded atmosphere within one of the liveliest areas of south-west Mallorca. It is a small, fairly deep cove, surrounded by low rocks, pine trees and tamarisk trees that provide natural shade and help to blend the surrounding houses into the landscape. Surroundings and location Caló d’en Pellisser strikes a balance between nature and the urban environment. Its fine, golden-coloured sandy beach is nestled amongst gentle rock formations, giving it an intimate and pleasant character. Furthermore, it is a beach closely linked to local history, as it lies next to the Cruz del Desembarco, a site associated with the Fiestas del Rei en Jaume, one of Calvià’s most important traditional celebrations, which re-enacts the arrival of Christian troops in Mallorca in 1229.
