Son Maties Beach is one of the main beaches in the Palmanova area, in the municipality of Calvià, and forms part of the group of beaches in the area alongside Palmanova and Es Carregador. It is a wide, modern and very well-equipped beach, situated between Palmanova and Magaluf, ideal for enjoying the sea with all amenities close at hand. A pleasant pedestrian promenade connects it to the other beaches in the area, and nearby is Cala Punta Marroig, which is designated for swimming with dogs. Surroundings and location Son Maties Beach is almost half a kilometre long and is characterised by its fine white sand and lively urban atmosphere. Its location guarantees direct access to a wide range of tourist services, restaurants, leisure facilities, shops and accommodation. It is a well-equipped beach, with rest areas, sports facilities and family-friendly spaces, making it one of the most popular in south-west Mallorca. Access and parking Access to Son Maties Beach is very straightforward: From the motorway heading towards Andratx, take the Palmanova exit. Follow the promenade to the Magaluf area. Direct pedestrian access from the entire town centre. Parking available in the immediate vicinity. Public transport links (bus). Anchorage The area offers favourable anchorage conditions: Beach exposed to north and north-easterly winds. Recommended anchorage area at Punta de sa Torre Nova. Sandy seabed with depths of between 3 and 4 metres. The nearest port is the Palmanova Yacht Club.
