Palmira Beach is one of the widest and liveliest beaches in Peguera, in the municipality of Calvià. Together with Torà and La Romana beaches, it forms the town’s main stretch of sandy beaches, with Palmira being the longest of them all. Its location, running parallel to Peguera’s boulevard, places it right in the heart of the tourist and commercial centre, making it a very convenient and accessible beach, ideal for enjoying the sea with all amenities just a short walk away. Surroundings and location The beach boasts a pleasant promenade lined with palm trees that connects it directly to the centre of Peguera. Restaurants, shops and accommodation are concentrated around it, making it one of the most comprehensive and vibrant areas in the south-west of Mallorca. Furthermore, Palmira is a highlight on the local sporting calendar, as it forms part of the route for the international Challenge Peguera Mallorca event, with the promenade serving as a key stage of the running circuit. Access and parking Access to Palmira Beach is easy and straightforward: It can be reached easily via Avenida de Peguera, the town’s main road. Parking is available in the adjacent streets, generally free of charge. It is also accessible by public transport, with a bus stop nearby. Easy pedestrian access from anywhere in the town centre. It is a beach fully adapted for tourists. Anchoring The beach is exposed to south-easterly, southerly and south-westerly winds, so conditions may vary: Anchoring is recommended on a sandy seabed. Approximate depth between 3 and 5 metres. It is advisable to anchor only during the day and in favourable weather conditions.
